Schülerinnen und Schüler, die ihre abschließende Arbeit oder Diplomarbeit auf Basis eines Themas der Young-Science-Themenplattform verfasst haben, können diese bis 30. April für den Young Science Inspiration Award einreichen. Enthält die Arbeit eine inspirierende Idee für die Forschung, erfolgt eine Nominierung durch Forschende.

Drei Finalist/innen präsentieren schließlich ihre Arbeiten im Oktober im Rahmen des 5. Young-Science-Kongresses. Auf sie warten Preise im Gesamtwert von 1.000 Euro.
