The ‘Citizen Science Award’ research competition is entering its tenth round this year! To mark this anniversary, seven current projects from the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, as well as teaching and learning research and informatics, are inviting Citizen Scientists to actively participate from 1 April to 31 July: Whether researching invasive mosquito species with a youth group, carrying out tests on soil health with a school class, evaluating urban spaces and urban mobility with grandparents or documenting amphibian calls alone - there are analogue and digital participation opportunities for every age and person group, allowing all research enthusiasts to enter into a dialogue with science.
School classes and youth groups can take part in all seven projects, individuals in four and families in three. Research participation is possible throughout Austria.
The prizes will be awarded at the 4th Young Science Congress on 23 October, which is being held in cooperation with the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
